Kildare Cottages reside on a working dairy farm. Friesland cows are milked twice daily, you may see the younger heifers grazing in the fields close to the cottages. There are dams and wetlands that hold a variety of bird species including the annual migration of varieties of cranes and storks. The farm belongs to a conservancy comprised of a number of surrounding properties.
